ELABasel operates across two beautiful campuses in the heart of Basel’s historic city centre. Our Early Years campus at Gartenstrasse provides a warm and nurturing environment for our youngest learners, while our Primary and Secondary campus at St. Alban-Vorstadt offers inspiring learning spaces for older students. Conveniently located just a 12-minute walk from one another, both campuses combine historic character with modern educational facilities.
Primary & Secondary
Our newly renovated campus provides students with a warm and inspiring learning environment designed to support a wide range of educational needs. Specialist French and German language rooms, inclusion spaces, modern science and music facilities, and well-stocked libraries all help students develop academically, creatively and personally in a supportive setting.
Students also benefit from excellent sports and fitness facilities, with access to nearby sports fields, recreational spaces and swimming pools for athletics, team sports, swimming and outdoor activities. A dedicated movement and fitness area further supports physical education, wellbeing and active lifestyles.
To support our growing Secondary School, we have introduced a range of new learning spaces, including a dedicated Secondary School Library, a modern Multimedia Room for music production, podcasting and video creation, an Arts, Design and Technology room, and newly prepared classrooms designed to encourage collaboration, creativity and academic success.
Early Years
Our Early Years facilities are located in Ulmenhof (Elms Court), a beautiful historic building in the heart of Basel that has been sympathetically renovated to create a warm and inspiring learning environment. Across 10 thoughtfully designed rooms, children are encouraged to develop independence through exploration, imaginative play and hands-on learning experiences using a wide range of natural and engaging resources.
The building includes spacious learning areas for Babies, Toddlers and Pre-School children, as well as a soft play room, a multi-purpose activity space and a secure internal garden for supervised outdoor play. With personalised care, low adult-to-child ratios and age-appropriate environments, every stage of our Early Years setting is designed to support confidence, creativity and each child’s individual development.

The two campuses are conveniently located just a 12-minute walk (850m) from one another.

- Around 10 minutes by tram or bicycle from Bahnhof Basel SBB and approximately 15 minutes from EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg by car.
